Once you do arrive in Australia, there are many jobs available in the major cities. If you want the true Australian experience then there are also a lot of jobs outside of the cities. You could work in hospitality in the resorts or an Outback Pub, try your hand at fruit picking, experience life on a large station (cattle or sheep farms that may be as big as 1,000,000 acres), or even have a go at mining.
Fruit picking may also have its benefits; if you work in horticulture for 3 months in a regional area, you may be eligible to extend your working visa for an additional 12 months.
